Gallery in The Shinjuku area

Founded in 2004, Gallery Countach introduces not only Japanese artists but also foreign artists who can show you life from an independent point of view, expressing a sense of "spirit" in their works. Gallery Countach's exhibitions are not limited to any specific genre of art or expression, be it painting, sculpture, photography, installation or performance. Through collaboration between excellent artists and the gallery director, all of the gallery's exhibitions and events aim to open art up to society. On the other hand, Gallery Countach believes that in order for social awareness of art to spread, there needs to be the constant discovery of new artists and a continuous improvement of their abilities. With that aim, it regularly holds workshops called "Countach University". The gallery offers its complete support to lecturers who seek to discover hidden talent and nurture it to the point where new art work is made. Breaking free of the limitations of conventional galleries, Gallery Countach works for all levels of contemporary art management.
