Henri Matisse: Process/Variation
This event has ended.
Henri Matisse (1869-1954) is recognized as one of the revolutionary painters of the 20th century who opened up new potential in painterly expression. The beauty of colors and the decorativeness of his works have endlessly fascinated their viewers. While at first glance seemingly simply executed, in fact Matisse's works are the treasured results of a long process of consideration and reflection. In our search to explore and explain the secrets of these works, this exhibition examines Matisse's works from the two concepts of "variation" and "process."
