Narcissus: Vik Muniz Self-Portraits
This event has ended.
At Gallery Koyanagi
Media: Illustration, Sculpture
Vik Muniz is a Brazilian artist currently working in New York. His representative work is his photographs of drawings he made of art-historically significant motifs (such as "The Last Supper", "Saturn Devouring One of His Children", Elizabeth Taylor) using chocolate syrup, pasta, toy figurines, and other everyday things. His selection of motifs do more than just stimulate the audience's sense of taste, touch and sight, but also elicit humor.
