The August 2005 Ginza Graphic Gallery event is titled the Masahiko Sato Laboratory exhibition.
Masahiko Sato continues to make his presence powerfully felt in a wide range of activities. In addition to attention-getting commercials such as the "Suntory Malt" and NEC "Bazar de Gozarre" spots produced during his days as a CM planner, he has written books that explain philosophy and economics in simple terms. He has also created the playboy game I.Q. and a new educational television program called "Pythagora-Switch". For the past few years, he has taught at Keio University, where he has gained a reputation for studies that center on expression and education. He has attracted attention from various fields as someone suggesting new potential in the world of communication. The present exhibition provides an overview of his laboratory's studies that includes major projects such as figures and moving images created in the process of visually expressing mathematical concepts, as well as the works that grew out of them.
The exhibition will be accompanied by the publication of a volume titled ggg Books 71: Masahiko Sato.
