Art Deco and Shiseido have always been closely related. This exhibition introduces the "Shiseido style" created by Shiseido - Art Deco based on a unique aesthetic - through furnishings such as stained glass and architecture, in the Art Deco style stores built in Ginza in 1928.
This is the first joint exhibition between House of Shiseido and Shiseido Gallery.

アール・デコは、1920～30年代の機械化、量産化の流れに乗りながら世界に伝播したデザイン様式で、直線と円弧を組み合わせた幾何学的な形態が特徴である。「都市に生きるアール・デコ」展は、ハウス オブ シセイドウと資生堂ギャラリーの2会場で展開し、アール・デコの特長が最も顕著に表れる建築物やインテリアに着目している展覧会だ。
