Tiery Le (pronounced ‘luh’ ) is a French artist living and working in Kansai since 1999. After studying art at the National Art School of Cergy, Paris, he has been exploring the meanderings of human existence through painting, cartoons, photography, drugs, travel, procrastination and daily chores. Some of the resulting images have been published in about 15 magazines, newspapers and books in France, Japan, Canada and the U.S., or hung in cafes, clubs, art spaces and galleries in Paris, Osaka and Kyoto. He is currently contributing images and general design for Kyoto Journal, an award-winning international quarterly offering alternative perspectives on Asian cultures and society.
