トタンを素材にして、日用品など身の回りにある物をかたどった彫刻作品を制作する元木孝美。昨年12月24日まで阿佐ヶ谷のとたんギャラリーで開催されていた個展「日彫展」では、ギャラリースペースの入り口から中央部を突っ切り、窓の外のテラスを越えて庭の塀まで、シンプルな「家」の造形をした作品を一直線に並べたインスタレーションを発表した。
