Jakuchu and The Age of Imagination
This event has ended.
At Tokyo National Museum
Media: Painting
This is an exhibition of works chosen by art collector Joe Price and staff from the Tokyo National Museum from more than 600 works in the collection. Divided into five sections, the exhibition shows the paintings arranged according to their artistic lineage. Special attention has been paid to lighting and curators have avoided the use of glass display cases.
There is also educational program running in conjunction with the exhibition, "Family Gallery: How do you see Japanese Arts from the Price Collection?" which features eight works taken from the Price Collection and displayed with educational materials and explanatory texts.
