In this era of dramatic developments in computer and networking technologies we communicate through different devices and systems. "Commucation" in this context can be described as a process connecting human beings with machines or as things which automatically connect with each other. This exhibition will present works that make full use of different mediums and technologies to show new possibilities for creative communication from an artistic and computer programming point of view.

「コネクティング・ワールド：創造的コミュニケーションに向けて」展

今年の6月に、新しいコンセプトを掲げてリニューアル・オープンしたICC。「オープン・スペース」の設置や「ICCキッズプログラム」の実施など新しい挑戦が続く間、待ち望まれていた企画展が本展である。 ICCにとって原点であるテーマ「コミュニケーション」を人と人の間にだけでなく、私たちが日常的に使い分けている情報端末やシステムなど機械やモノとの間にも読み取り、それらが生み出す多様な事象が連結（コネクティング）されている現代社会の可能性/危険性に迫るという内容である。
