This exhibition will bring together under one roof the highlights of the Ishibashi Foundation’s collection, which is normally divided between the Bridgestone Museum of Art in Tokyo, and the Ishibashi Museum of Art in Kurume. Masterpieces of classical Oriental and modern Western art will be on display, ranging from important cultural properties and national treasures—such as Detached Segment of Poem Anthology Kokin-wakashu, known as "Koya-Gire", Sesshu's Landscape of the Four Seasons, and Yintuoluo's Detached Segment from The Deeds of the Zen Masters, Tanka Burning Buddhist Statues—to Jackson Pollock’s Number 2, 1951.
