The Pola Museum Annex seeks to support and encourage young artists through its "Pola Promising Young Artists Exhibition" series where artists are selected by art journalists based on a theme. The artists this year will be Tomoko Sengoku and Manika Nagare as selected by Mainichi Shinbun culture and arts department reporter Kenji Ishikawa.

3回目を迎えるポーラの新鋭展。毎日新聞社の石川健次の推薦により、流麻二果と仙谷朋子の2人展が行われている。 流の作品は「横坐り」「昼寝」といったタイトルから推察できるように人の仕草などを描いたものであるが、その形は曖昧にぼやかされ、色は様々に置きかえられ随分と抽象化されている。 仙谷の作品は糸などを編むことで形づくられた「抜け殻」のようなものである。かつてそこに納まっていたかもしれない生物/物体については想像をめぐらせるしかない。
女性アーティストの二人展。タイトルの意図が作品を見るうちに自然に見えてくる。
平面の流麻二果さんはきれいな色使いとディテールで
ゆったりと語りかける。
立体の仙谷朋子さんは、素材が多様。観る者に生命の神秘を饒舌に語る。
力がある個々の作品が見事に呼応し、不思議な空間を作り出している。
