After graduating from Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music, Yoshikuni Iida (1923-2006) spent 11 years in Europe. During that time he went from being a painter to becoming a sculptor. Many of his works have been installed in public places: within Japan he was featured in the Osaka Expo and his work is in Serigaya Park in Machida; abroad he set up a giant mobile in an outdoor sculpture museum in Paris, establishing his reputation as an artist who is active all over the world. Sadly, he died last year in April. This exhibition introduces his prints and sculptures.
