This exhibition of Kaoru Ikeda's lacquerware sculptures is her first at Galerie Nichido in four years.
Lacquered sculptures are made with a traditional technique dating back to the Nara era of Japan. Ikeda updates this form by creating sculptures of girls and women.
20 sculptures will be on display in the exhibition.
