This is Langan's second solo exhibition at this venue and will include both film and photography works. Langan's works are powerfully refined and portray landscapes with poetry, and capture human beings' fragile existence contrasted to nature's energy. "Metamorphosis," introduced here, starts where "A Film Trilogy" (2003) ended. Langan has incorporated her early monochrome glass plate photographs and ink paintings from medieval Japan into this work of magnificent scale, and uses cinematographic techniques to play out space, sound and light.
