Rolf Julius "Sound Performance"
This event has ended.
At Gallery 360 Degrees
Media: Performance Art
Julius was born in Germany in 1939 and started his artistic career in 1975 after having studied at university. Inspired by the work of John Cage, from 1978 he started to make sound installations that incorporated sound and objects. Combining stone and iron, water and salt with speakers, he creates works with refined visual and subtle audio qualities to them. For his first visit to Japan since 2002, he will be holding a one-day-only, small scale "small music" event.
