This event has ended.

This Taisho romantic artist was active as a designer throughout his life as well. He started designing picture postcards from the time he was still submitting his works, and his magazine and book covers helped boost his popularity soon after his debut. In 1914, he opened a store that sold items that he designed himself. He also drew commercial plans in the later Taisho era, and this work led to his use of modern and new graphic design in posters and other media through which even more of his free, unique creative style can be seen.

Works include: chiyogami paper, illustrated envelopes, letter sets, picture postcards, hagoita paddles, haneri decorative collar designs, sugoroku boardgames, posters, book/magazine/sheet music covers, and so on, totaling over 350 pieces.
