Starting off his academic career as a scholar of political philosophy centering on Marx, Antonio Negri shaped the theoretical foundation for a new social movement known as “Autonomia” supported by the socially disadvantaged. His major publications include the widely acclaimed works, “Empire” and “Multitude” under his co-authorship with Michael Hart. He is visiting Japan for the first time taking part in the symposium at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts & Music.
