Iyoko Saegusa "Evolving Motifs"
This event has ended.
Saegusa's knitwear and embroidery begins with one small motif; for the rest, she "lets her mind and hands go where they will." She uses knitting wool, raw wool, silk threads as well as beads to knit pieces that contain traces of joy of thawing snow in Sapporo, her harrowing experiences in intensive care for an illness, the sight of fields of flowers that took her breath away... Despite being a veteran knitter, this is Saegusa's first solo exhibition, featuring coats, jackets, skirts, vests, scarves, bags and small accessories.
