In the postmodern era, sophisticated product designs have emerged. Shiro Kuramata is known for his innovative design and creative activities that transcend the categories of art and design. Times have changed, and now it seems like we can finally, fully appreciate what he has achieved through his work.
In this exhibition, furniture Kuramata designed for the hotel inside the Tsukuba Center Building, such as tables and mirrors used in the hotel rooms, are on display and for sale.
