After being selected to be featured in the 4th Hitotsubo graphic art exhibition (1994), Machida worked on illustrations for magazines and books and published a picture book last year. Working with animal and young girl motifs, her work treads a middle ground between cuteness and danger, leading viewers off into the world of her creations. This exhibition features around 35 new works that function as a sort of "endoscope" for plumbing the rich inner worlds of Machida's imagination.
