Baba has worked mostly on plant- and mineral-related motifs in her work up till now, but has recently come to develop an interest in the temporal qualities of the natural beauty in these subject. This exhibition, entitled "Moments," showcases the beauty of flowers inherent in their very transience, a trait that resonates with our own shared experience of time and contingency.
Working in both painting and prints, Baba constructs his works by careful layering, reflecting the temporal passage of her own work process in the finished product. Her art monograph "Moments" will also be on display.
