This 4th edition of the "Eyes and Curiosity" exhibition at Mizuma Action highlights the gaze of the artists, the curiosity of the gallery director Mr. Mizuma, while also providing a space for viewers to encounter both these elements and contribute their own "eyes" and "curiosity" to the mix.
This exhibition features 6 artists, of which Mari Ota and Kozue Oshima have previously shown at the first edition of the exhibition. Newcomers Nanao Ishihara, Masakatsu Sashie and Tomokazu Matsuyama, as well as Ikuyo Yamada who participated in the Taiwanese edition will exhibit work as well.
Working from different locations - Ishihara from Tokyo, Oshima from Kanagawa, Sashie from Kanazawa, Ota and Yamada from Kyoto and Matsuyama from New York - these artists reconstruct on their canvases fragments of the world, evoking similar feelings of curiosity and the itch of discovery in their viewers.
