Today in France, one worker in two benefits from more free time from work than before. How does one manage this time?

If the 35 hour work week does not necessarily lead to happy people, some have put this time to good use by devoting it to their passion, to rediscovering their hobbies, or getting reacquainted with their children's toys. The society of leisure has devised for itself "paid leave" weekends throughout the year and takes advantage of RTT in order to revise their plans for longer holidays.

In this exhibition, Stéphane Rémael inquires into the new society of leisure taking shape in France today, where the 35 hour week has both entered into the general consciousness, and opened itself up to questioning in a political sense.

A series of tender, caustic portraits of French people face to face with their leisure time....
