This exhibition, held fifteen years since his last retrospective exhibition, features works by Gyoshu Hayami (1894-1935), the master of modern Japanese nihonga. On display are around 100 paintings and 10 drawings, including "Koharu" (1910) and his well-known intricate paintings "Maiko in Kyoto" and "Moonlit Night on the Arno River," created during his trip to Europe, in addition to around 20 recently discovered works. This is a great opportunity to view works by this artist, who spent a great amount of time in Shonan Chigasaki, next to Hiratsuka City.
