The Rokuro Taniuchi Annex exhibits all the original illustrations by Taniuchi held by the museum's collection, focusing particularly on the cover drawings for magazine Shukan Shincho. For this exhibition period, works drawn in 1964 will be featured. In addition, Rokuro also left behind many short essays entitled "Words on the Cover" that were written on the subject of his cover illustrations. These essays condense Taniuchi's thoughts on his times, the ideas behind the illustrations and the daydreams and fancies that inspired them. Many of these essays will also be on display, offering a unique glimpse into the writerly side of this multitalented artist.
