Contact improvisation is a form of dance which evolves from communication with others. In this special event, improvised bodily expression of dancers along with the live music by Kazushige Uchida (contrabass) and Kiyoshi Suzuki (kalimba) will be presented. Contact improvisation is originally known as a dance technique but becoming popular among a wide range of people in other countries. It has been also incorporated into various activities for handicapped people.
This event also serves as a closing event for the Tokyo Contact Improvisation Festival 08 held from May 3rd to 6th. Talk and discussion with the performance instructor Vivianne Rodrigues de Brito (Holland) will be held as well.
