Tomio Yotsuya (1938-1963) was born in Yokohama. He began creating work in 1963, but in 1963, when he was about to have his first solo exhibition, he was killed in a car accident at the young age of 25. This exhibition presents Yotsuya's works from the museum's permanent collection, along with other works by modern and contemporary artists, which deal with themes associated with summer.
