Toshiyuki Shibakawa has been working on installations since around 1995, basing his work on the question "how would the present days appear if it was unearthed in the form of fossils 2000 years on in the 41st century?" He has a background in painting for which he has received wide acclaim as the selection for the Voca exhibition exemplifies. After the 2006 exhibition at APS, he has been actively exhibiting and holding workshops throughout Japan.

The work "Planet Wall" that will be presented in this exhibition consists of turning the small space of APS into "a cave of 2000 years on" and will display present day objects as "layers of the modern civilization" unearthed in the 41st century.

On June 21st 19:00, There will be a performance by Seisaku Murata in the form of a collaboration with Shibakawa's installation.
