This event has ended.

Mainly produced from the mid-18th through the late 19th century, English slipware pottery is characterized by decorative “sliptrail” patterns on top of an unglazed base. Largely passed over in England, these practical, everyday items were prized by Mingei founder Muneyoshi Yanagi for their unique beauty. This exhibition showcases a diverse selection of some 150 Western craft pieces from the museum collection, including ceramics, woodwork and painting.
