22:00 is exceptional in that it's just a crusty old house, on a corner in some forlorn part of Takanodai. All the pieces are strewn about the building in three different rooms (two upstairs, bathroom downstairs). And, then there's the fact that there's a huge nagashi soumen slide outside the building spanning from the roof to the ground level of the parking lot next door. Pretty fun.
Miyamoto-san's work is interesting in that she smudges use of color and form on canvas, creating textured templates of natural patterns and form, often drawn from reference. Content ranges from figurative to abstract, combining the two into surrealist landscapes of vivid and dynamic hues. The combination of acrylic and oil she uses to interesting effect; making use of the chemical juxtaposition to make brushed patterns that seem natural. The work is funny, sweet, and a bit unnerving in it's lack of inhibition.
