"Contemporaries: Junkichi Mukai, Saburo Miyamoto" Exhibition
This event has ended.
Junkichi Mukai (1901-1995) and Saburo Miyamoto (1905-1974) were both Western-style painters with strong connections to Setagaya. Mukai was known for his depictions of traditional thatched roof houses throughout Japan, while Miyamoto was known for his dazzling portraits of nude women. This exhibition features a selection of works by these two painters inspired by common themes.
