Art Nouveau, characterized by its curving lines and motifs of plants and other natural forms, saw the introduction of novel and unique designs that captivated the world of art in the late 19th century. In art works made of glass various techniques are applied to educe from the materials the innate and infinite brilliance that so captivates the viewer. The masterpieces seen here, selected from around 300 Art Nouveau pieces in the Pola Museum of Art collection, showcase the technical diversity of this art form. They enchant with the fascination and charm of 19th century French fin de siécle.
