“Hokusai - The Master and His Disciples”

Re-examining the great master of Ukiyo-e through a full range of Hokusai’s work, with major pieces such as “Chushingura” and “53 Stations of the Tokaido”, being shown alongside prints of actors and monsters, as well as Western style prints influenced by European printing techniques. This exhibition also includes a collection of work from Hokusai’s so called disciples, as well as the French artist Henri Rivière’s “36 Views of the Eiffel Tower”, searching out Hokusai’s greatness from a multitude of angles.
