Rokko, Hyogo over several months will “move” to Daikanyama. Giving tribute to Arthur Hesketh Groom, who reclaimed Mt. Rokko, Miyake became “Mr. Bluemoon” and ” developed” the town by live painting and live building over three periods of his stay in the former cottage in the garden of Rokko International Musical Box Museum. At the “main residence” Miyake depicts the history of Mt. Rokko, while townscape with lighthouse as a landmark throwing soft blue light has been built in “resort”, and a frog floats on a lotus leaf on the pond. The work has won the Grand prix by public voting at Rokko Meets Art.
