Mizuho Koyama Exhibition
This event has ended.
In recent years, Mizuho Koyama has been creating a series of works that combine letters and words through geometrical and architectural approaches. Drawing on ancient poetry such as the Japanese Man’yoshu and the works of the Persian mystic poet Rumi she forms her own precise designs and images based upon her personal interpretation, in a process which utilizes ancient artefacts to build contemporary structures. Koyama has also recently turned to techniques of assemblage in which she builds up materials upon objects of personal memory suchs as cosmetics bottles and notebooks, paying homage to the objects of latter days, which have not seen the light for many years.
