The kilns of Kyushu hold a special place in the ceramic history of early modern Japan and the Japan Folk-Craft Museum holds a wide collection of such ceramic work extending across the kilns of Karatsu, Imari, Ojiro and Satsuma. This exhibition features the ceramics of Kyushu produced between the Momoyama-Edo eras, including pottery works from the kilns of Naeshirogawa and Onta which played a significant role in the folk crafts movement.
