In 2005, Hidetaka Fukaya was the first Japanese craftsmen to set up a bespoke shop in Europe. The exhibition previously held at Marino Marini Museum of Art in Florence in 2015 celebrate the tenth anniversary of its opening will travel to Tokyo on this occasion. The concept of the exhibition is the expression of various human emotions, characters and races through shoes while addressing themes such as “birth,” “rebels” and “outcry.” This Tokyo installation of the exhibition will also include a collaboration with artists and craftspeople living in Toyama who have created new works using traditional craft techniques.
