This exhibition comprises new paintings depicting growing particles, filling the screen with countless points at a constant rhythm. Motifs include those Ogaki has long admired, such as the Matterhorn, where she has never been, or the hand of an old woman. Ogaki was born 1973 in Toyama Prefecture. She graduated Aichi Prefectural University of the Arts with a major in oil painting in 1995 and from the German National Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in 2004. In 2010, she moved to Tokyo. Her works have been acquired by many individual collectors in Japan and abroad. Ogaki works on themes of “life” and “death” through sculptures, installations, and drawings, expressing death and age with dynamic techniques.
