The poet and artist Yumeji Takehisa (1884–1934) was a major figure in Taisho-era Romanticism. Through love and romance-themed artworks, poems, photographs, and other materials, this exhibition looks at Yumeji’s ideals of womanhood and relationships while reflecting on his some of his own romances. It considers views on love from 100 years ago.
