Meijra-era born artist Seifu Tsuda was trained in the Nihongo style of painting but would later go on to produce Western style work before returning to a more traditional Japanese style. Tsuda was admired by the novelist Soseki Natsume and many of the 250 works featured in this exhibition contain themes from the writer’s books.
