Artists

Peter Beste
This is the first exhibition in Japan presenting New York-based photographer Peter Beste. On show are portraits of Norwegian black metal musicians. The series has been highly acclaimed in the past for its eloquence. It celebrates the distinctive attitude of black metal by contrasting their special makeup called "corpse paint" with Scandinavia's grand nature.
Peter Beste is best known for his documentary-style portraits of musicians such as Moby, Mogwai, The Strokes, The White Stripes, Travis and people in the London Hip Hop scene. He artistically captures the lives of the "It" people in the sub-culture scene.
On sale are limited editions of the photography book "Norwegian Black Metal", as well as the book in a special box set (first edition only).
