Isamu Wakabayashi
On view are some 260 never-seen drawings and sculptures by Isamu Wakabayashi created while teaching at the Tama Art University from 1999-2003. Also exhibited is a series of mezotints documenting the growth of a young walnut tree. Wakabayashi, one of the most important contemporary sculptors in Japan, never lost his passion for nature and things. The viewer will be able to taste his sincere creative attitude through this well-rounded exhibition.
