Ruriko Murayama
Ruriko Murayama was born in Akita in 1968. From 1996 to 1998, she organized the "What colors teach us" exhibition in different places throughout Tokyo. In the years following her return to Akita in 2000, she participated in the group exhibition "Off trance" (Kirin Plaza, Osaka, 2001), in "Collective Charms" (Nadiff, Tokyo, 2002) and in "Cloth compositions" (Fashion Museum, Kobe, 2003). Also worth noting is her collaboration with Comme des garçons and Prada. Last year, she participated in exhibitions in Roppongi Hills' Mori Museum, the Osaka Contemporary Art Center and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Bologna (Italy). This spring, she worked for the Unesco in Paris and later will be participating in a group exhibition in the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa.
