Hiroko Okada creates works that are based on her own experience of love, marriage, childbirth and children upbriging. Her works are fiction-based but feel disturbingly familiar.
The theme of this exhibtion refers to problems of communication within a familly. It is centered around “Singin’ in the pain”: a video work that captures the last few hours of some “ordinary” housewife who suddenly goes mad.
