Aki was born and raised in Tokyo. However, the city never meant anything to her, nothing tactile, just like clasping a handful of sand. In such idleness, one day, out of the blue, "something" arose in her. And this something urged her to start taking pictures of Tokyo.
This "something" appears whenever she looks carefully, when she can find that "special tone"; that's her connection with Tokyo.
In reality, this desire to know more about Tokyo is perhaps all about knowing herself. So she gazes at herself in this city called Tokyo, searching intently for the special tint.
