Maki Takano from Yokohama and Barbara Hindarl from Germany became interested in each other’s work and started up "1_1 Projekt". Both work with ordinary material from daily life.
The first exhibition in Germany was held with Raum2, non-profit-making gallery, this March. This exhibition in Yokohama would be their second exhibition, and new works will be exhibited for this occasion.
For the artists from different cultural background to have an exhibition together, the works must reflect personal relationships with other people and things, and considerate for the personal and cultural differences.
