Koji Kinutani
Born in Nara Prefecture in 1943, Koji Kinutani completed his studies at the oil painting department of the Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music in 1968 and became a member of the Independent Art Association. In 1971 he studied in Italy, researching classical techniques of afresco painting and contemporary afresco painting at the Academia Venezia. During his stay, he was soon the focus of attention as his works were bought by the Venice Museum of Modern Art and he held a solo exhibition at the Venice Municipal Museum of Art.
This exhibition brings together approximately 40 works based on the theme of Italy, which he has continued to work on for more than 30 years.
