As Japan enters the 21st century, it enters an age of convenience and modernity. And yet around the world, wars continue to be fought and innocent children, women and old people are the primary victims of this. For the past sixty years, Japan has refused to wage war, but the current age is one in which such pacifism is under threat. Once again, humankind needs to look at how to achieve world peace and the ways in which we need to comprehend our surroundings. This exhibition presents messages of peace through art.
