Edison Osorio Zapata
Edison Osorio Zapata was born in Venezuela in 1970. He studied ceramic and glass art in Canberra and Sydney University, came to Japan to attend the graduate program at Tama Art University in 2004, and graduated this year. He received prizes at various international competitions while in school. He currently resides in Nagoya as a special researcher at Nagoya University of Arts and actively exhibits works in Australia, America and other countries.

Zapata perfectly combines glass and ceramic to create large scale sculptures, communicating natural strength, beauty and cultural interplay. This is his first exhibition in Tokyo.
