This exhibition is an installation that consists of two films that will be played simultaneously. One film is a conversation that architect Rem Koolhaus and independent curator Hans Ulrich Obrist have with an interviewer who works as a ghost writer. This film was shot using a unique technique in which the speaker was not shown on the screen, creating a tension in the overlap of the speaker's voice and the listener's facial expressions. The other film consists solely of a text for a dialog that this artist wrote, written in white text and shown on a black screen. The film is synchronized with the Koolhaus-Obrist interview deviating occasionally as it develops, and can be called a "parallel world of conversation" spun by the artist. It is a work in which ideas born out of conversations but not yet put into words are restructured as fiction.
Not only is this artist trying to visualize communication, but turning his attention to identity crises that occur when people speak of themselves. For this reason, the comedic role of interviewer or mediator had to be a professional ghost writer whose job is to speak of others' lives as one's own. There is no other artist more in the center of attention in the field of conceptual art than this artist. His works are an attractive compound of penetrating logic and free imagination.
